Amber and Sherry are licenced professional therapist in the state of Texas. They proudly provide counseling services for teens, families, women and couples in Richmond, Katy, Fulshear and Sugarland area. Exploring therapy can be overwhelming but is a huge first step in achieving your goals in self care. Below we have answered a few frequently asked questions that new clients may have.
What is Counseling?
Counseling is a unique professional relationship between a therapist and a client were we work together in achieving a better quality within your thoughts and life. At Brighter Day Counseling and Consulting we believe in a genuine relationship between therapist and client. We want our clients to know that they are cared for and supported in their journey.
What are sessions like?
We provide both online and in-person therapy services in the Richmond and surrounding areas. During our first meeting we will get to know each other by discussing your intake form and discussing your story. During our follow up appts we will work on setting personal goals, designing an individualized plan on how to feel better and working together to achieve your goals.
How do I set up an appointment?

What are your rates?
- First session $100
- 50 min follow up sessions $120
- 30 min session available upon request.
At Brighter Day Counseling we do have a number of sliding scale appointments available for individuals who qualify.
Does BDCC accept insurance?
At this time Brighter Day Counseling and Consulting is an out-of-network provider. This means that we do not take insurance.
Many insurance providers will make out-of network reimbursements for mental health services. Please contact your insurance company and verify what reimbursement may be available to you.
We are happy to provide you an itemized list of services at the end of each month to assist in the reimbursement process.
